March Calendar 2010

Good morning!! Last night I sat in my craft room for hours playing with all of my various toys and feel like I made some really great stuff! I started playing with my new Designer's Calendar Cricut cartridge and decided to make my first calendar. Now, I know this is a calendar cart, but I think it actually has some really great cuts on it, plus you can cut a really nice scalloped square on this one for journaling, layering, etc....

I cut March at 2" in the script option with the shadow in the green used on the page and the top in a nice bright green. Again the scalloped square in from the cart and I inked all the edges with green Studio G ink.

I cut out the calendar grid available on page 47 of the cartridge handbook. I will say it is a bit tedious to sit and do all the cuts and gluing involved in making this, but I used my Xyron sticker maker and I think that made it go a bit faster. I cut out the important date shapes in 1 1/2" sizes. I like them a little bigger than the box and overlapping and it makes it easier to glue. Again on these I used my Xyron.

All in all, this was a fun project. What a shame it is only good for one month!
It is going to be a lovely day today and everyone should go outside and take a walk!! As you can see on the calendar, tomorrow is my husband and I's 5 yr. anniversary. We got advance tickets to see Alice in Wonderland at the RAVE theatre in Peoria and we are going to go to the Kobe Steakhouse. I am soooo excited!! I have never been to a hibachi grill before and I just can't wait!!

Look for my post tomorrow morning! I will be posting the anniversary card I made for Josh last night. Very cute and easy to do with or without a Cricut!!

Thanks for looking!! Don't forget to leave a comment and click the link on the left to follow me!! Brandi
